OUR VISION

Doing anything exceptionally well requires commitment and perseverance. The results of such efforts are those things that enjoy high regard and stand the test of time. Since 1985 PEH ARCHITECTS has been providing architectural services for the greater Boulder area and beyond. We are driven to create exceptional architecture by bringing together design integrity, the finest materials and painstaking craftsmanship. Anything less would not be worth the effort.

Peter E. Heinz

Founding Principal, AIA

Received his Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado at Boulder in the mid seventies. In the ensuing thirty years, PEH has participated and successfully completed a wide variety of architectural and planning projects. Since founding the sole proprietorship, work has focused on renovation of existing and design of new educational facilities, disabled accessibility review and implementation, program planning for educational facilities, municipal facilities such as fire stations and libraries, and recycling existing residential projects for Boulders changing demographics.

Will Campbell

Project Architect, AIA

Will graduated in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Planning from the University of Colorado – Denver. Since graduation, Will has worked for architecture, engineering, and consulting firms throughout the Front Range.  His experience ranges from full construction documentation and construction administration for a 40,000sf Humane Society to small repair details for windows and roof systems. Will also has experience with Building Information Management (BIM) consulting and has provided custom BIM content along with custom training for Revit and Formit. When he is not working, Will loves hiking with his wife and son and enjoying long bike rides in the mountains west of Boulder.

Erin Gambacorta

Sr. Project Manager, Assoc. AIA

Erin received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts, with a concentration in Architecture, from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, and later went on to receive a Masters of Architecture in 2006. Following graduation, Erin was employed for several years at a high-end residential firm in Charleston, SC where she was involved with all phases of the architectural design process for projects spanning the East Coast. After returning to Colorado in 2009, Erin remained active in the design community while also volunteering with elementary-level after school educational programs, and enrolling in several continuing education courses. Erin’s hands on experience and close attention to detail have proven valuable in schematic design, review submittals, and construction document creation. Having completed the requirements of the AXP program, Erin has begun to work through the process of becoming a licensed architect.

Mari Blaser

Designer, Assoc. AIA

Mari  developed her skills in architectural and engineering construction technology as well as computer-aided drafting at Front Range Community College in Westminster, Colorado. She also studied architecture at Kent State University in Ohio where she spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy. While in Italy she studied the use of historic design concepts and techniques in modern architecture and historic preservation within modern urban planning. She enjoys studying historic preservation and researching sustainable design and urban planning. In addition to using CAD and Revit she also loves to hand draft. At PEH she uses a multitude of computer software to create documents and presentations. She is detail oriented, which aids in the creation of presentations and project packets. She is also passionate about photography, sustainable construction techniques, and sensitive historic preservation.

Matt Andronowitz

Designer, Assoc. AIA

Matt received his Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2021. His studies focused primarily on resilient building, the integration of architecture and the landscape, and holistic design practices. During his studies, Matt served as Co-President and Board Member of the American Institute of Architecture Students – University of Colorado Boulder Chapter where he helped advocate for and support architecture students at the Program of Environmental Design. Prior to joining PEH, Matt supported the Housing Design and Project Management Group at CU, in addition to working on several affordable housing developments across the country. Skilled in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, Matt brings a creative and critical approach to each project. He is currently working towards attaining licensure through the AXP program. When not at work he can likely be found in the mountains backpacking, drawing, or playing the guitar.

Christopher Mirto

Partner, AIA, LEED AP

Received his Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999. During his time at CU, he volunteered at the campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and was involved in both field work and staffing the on-campus office. Chris has been employed at PEH since the summer of 1998, when he assumed the lead role in model production in the office. Since joining the team full-time, he has taken on numerous other responsibilities, including construction document drafting, shop drawing coordination and record keeping. Additionally, he has successfully managed projects through the City of Boulder's extensive design review/entitlement process.

Justin Price

Sr. Project Manager, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP

Justin graduated from the University of Colorado - Boulder with his Bachelors of Environmental Design in 2002. Upon completion he furthered his studies by obtaining his Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2004. Since graduating Justin has worked with a couple of Colorado firms gaining experience in creating Construction Documents for Multifamily Projects in Arizona, California, and Colorado. He also has worked on several small retail and office projects in Colorado performing such tasks as city submittals, CD packages, and shop drawing coordination.

Joshua Zinnecker

Project Architect, AIA

Joshua received a Bachelor's of Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2015. He was been employed with PEH ARCHITECTS since graduating, and has worked on a multitude of projects along the front range. His experience has been diverse and included multiple roles including code analysis, site design, building design, permitting and construction detailing. As an enthusiast for good design, he brings a balance of aesthetics, sustainability and practicality to each of his projects and proficiently utilizes rendering software to allow clients to clearly see their projects during design.

Nick Brown

Designer, Assoc. AIA

Nick graduated from University of Colorado with a bachelors in Environmental Design with an emphasis on Architecture. He plans on following through with a Masters in Architecture. Nick has worked as a drafter for military companies, including Boeing, as a civilian contractor. Nick excels in AutoCAD and Revit, with expertise in Photoshop. While continually strengthening and learning new architectural skills, Nick provides an organized and efficient approach to preparing construction documents for the residential and commercial tenant finish projects he coordinates.
