Family Practice Reception.jpg
Boulder Community Health was looking to create a satellite medical suite that combined existing cardiology, general family medicine and women’s care clinics. Through research efforts, multiple peer design review discussions and thoughtful space planning design, all three practices were able to come together in a single space in an existing medical office building. The three practices maintain clear identity and wayfinding, while gaining the advantage of efficiently sharing lab, check-in/ check-out and utility spaces. Centralized care coordinator workstations are designed at each practice to allow for touch-down team meetings and staff-to-staff consultations between patients, while maintaining a direct visual connection to patient rooms. Patients benefit from exam rooms on the perimeter of the building which provides bountiful natural light and views of the outside. Other spaces designed for the suite include procedure rooms, mental health rooms, ultrasound, and EKG testing rooms.
