This diagnostic and imaging center anchors the first medical facility for Boulder Community Health in Erie, Colorado. The suite, equipped with a full service laboratory, specimen collection areas, and various imaging suites, was design to increase employee collaboration with open workstation areas. Private changing and waiting areas were designed for patients to feel secure and relaxed before entering one of the imaging suites that includes an MRI suite, CT suite, X-Ray suite with overhead tube crane, mammography suite, DEXA suite, and ultrasound rooms. The unique detailing and construction requirements for an MRI imaging suite and control room was coordinated closely with the design team, imaging equipment manufacturer and non-ferrous radio frequency shielding manufacturer. The coordination resulted in a smooth construction process, equipment installation, and startup of the equipment. A full service laboratory positioned adjacent to the waiting area can be isolated from imaging suites for extended hours.
