Rehabilitation of late 19th century residential home, estimated to be built in 1890. Re-planning of interior floor plan to improve livability and desirability as a home functioning in the 21st century. This compact home, built in a near perfect square footprint, has a floor plan that is evenly quartered into bedroom, living room, kitchen and support spaces. The high ceilings offered ample storage with full height wall cabinets in the kitchen and bedroom. This simple home is characteristic of the modest vernacular of Black Hawk’s homes.
