Rehabilitation of late 19th century residential home estimated to have been built in the 1880’s. Re-planning of interior floor plan to improve livability and desirability as a home functioning in the 21st century. Exterior form and openings were modified to restore original roof forms, while reconstructing an enclosed porch. A studio space, partial built over the historic house, was restored creating a private retreat away from the main house. Much of the homes wood framing was buried into the hillside and required extensive reinforcement of new framing and moisture mitigation to ensure the home will survive the next century.
