UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO MOUNTAIN RESEARCH STATION - DINING HALL RENOVATION
Full remodel and rehabilitation of historic mountain dining hall originally constructed in 1922, on the University of Colorado Mountain Research Station campus. The dining hall and Science Camp facilities were closed to students during World War II, and were used as a rest base and recreational facility by the US Army. Following World War II, the facilities were opened to students again. The dining hall was renovated in 1990. Rehabilitation of existing foundations and roofs, new “alpine aesthetic” deck and accessible ramp. Design for new commercial kitchen and new dining hall seating and serving line. Two new restrooms on the first level will serve students during meal service, and with after-hours access to the restrooms and water bottle filler station only.
